With this Web page, we are opening some aspects of hakia R&D to the view of our users. Feel free to ask questions to our R&D team about the topics presented in these pages.
Different than a familiar R&D agenda in a search engine company, we undertook highly specific research tasks solely dedicated to the advancement of the core-competency in Web search. The main challenge is to make science work in a constrained deployment environment where speed, coverage, accuracy, and ease-of-use are high priority considerations.
The year 2008 will be the year of harvesting the results of our R&D activities. Although R&D will continue forever, hakia search engine will start to show fundamental differences in Web search by 2008, onward.
